Spinal Manipulative Techniques
Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating disorders of the spine, joints, and nervous system. Through spinal manipulation and mobilisation techniques, chiropractors apply gentle, controlled movements to restore proper alignment, reduce pain, and improve mobility.
These non-invasive, drug-free therapies support the body’s natural healing and are commonly used for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other musculoskeletal conditions
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisations
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) is a specialized technique used to break down scar tissue, release muscle tension, and improve mobility. Chiropractors use ergonomically designed tools to gently glide over the skin, targeting areas of restriction or tightness in muscles, tendons, and fascia.
This therapy helps stimulate blood flow, reduce pain, and accelerate the body’s natural healing process, making it effective for chronic injuries, muscle strains, and overuse conditions.
Taping
Taping supports recovery, reduces pain, and enhances performance. Common types include:
-
Dynamic Tape: Elastic tape that assists movement and absorbs load—ideal for active patients.
-
Kinesiology Tape: Flexible tape that supports muscles and joints without limiting motion.
-
Elastic Adhesive Bandage (EAB): Stretchable tape offering support and compression during activity.
-
Zinc Oxide Tape: Rigid tape providing firm support and joint stabilization.
Each type is chosen based on the patient’s condition and treatment goals.
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is an important part of chiropractic treatment, focusing on restoring strength, flexibility, and function after injury or pain but also as prevention.
Rehabilitation includes targeted exercises, stretches, and strength work to support chiropractic care and prevent future issues. By combining hands-on care with guided rehab, patients recover faster and maintain long-term results.
Interferential Therapy
Interferential Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-frequency electrical currents to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and promote healing in soft tissues. By stimulating nerves and muscles beneath the skin, IFT enhances blood flow, relieves muscle spasms, and accelerates recovery. It’s often used alongside chiropractic care for conditions like back pain, joint injuries, and post-surgical rehab.
Dry Cupping
Dry cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses suction cups placed on the skin to increase blood flow, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing. The vacuum effect lifts the soft tissue, helping to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support recovery from muscular injuries. Often used alongside chiropractic care, cupping is a gentle, non-invasive method to enhance overall treatment outcomes.
Sports Injuries
Sports injuries can result from overuse, improper technique, or trauma during physical activity. Common issues include sprains, strains, joint pain, and muscle imbalances.
Chiropractic care helps by addressing misalignments, reducing inflammation, and restoring normal movement. Through tailored treatment plans—including adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitation—athletes recover faster and perform better while reducing the risk of re-injury.
Medical Dry Needling
Medical dry needling is a targeted treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to release tight muscles and trigger points. By stimulating specific areas within the muscle tissue, it helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore normal function. Often used alongside chiropractic care, dry needling is effective for treating chronic pain, muscle spasms, and sports injuries.
